The Flow Coupling is a thick-walled tubular components normally utilized in completions and located adjacent to changes in the tubing ID. As compared to the normal tubing, the thicker wall Flow Coupling is more suitable to resist the erosional turbulence caused by changes in the tubing inner diameter.
The Flow Couplings have either API or Premium connection coupling OD and are available in 3, 4, 6 and 8ft lengths.
Applications
Placement adjacent to changes in the tubing ID
Typically connected to both ends of a flow control device, such as subsurface safety valve, Safety Valve Landing Nipple, etc.
