The Plug Assembly consists of the Lock Mandrel and an Equalizing Prong is designed for use where sediment might collect on the plug. It run and pulled on a slickline and used to plug the tubing for various operations, including setting and testing packers and testing tubing. It is used to plug the wellbore in either direction. Before the plug is retrieve from the wellbore on slickline, the prong is removed from the prong housing, providing an equalizing path across the plug assembly. Two slickline trips are required to run or pull the plug.
KPX Plug Assembly made up on KXO or KXN Lock Mandrel and installed in KXO or KXN Landing Nipples. Whilst the KPR Plug Assembly are made up on KRO or KRN Lock Mandrel and installed in KRO or KRN Landing Nipples.
