The Standing Valve is designed to hold pressure from above while allowing fluids to flow from below. it is generally run and retrieved on slickline with a Lock Mandrel.
The Lock Mandrel, the Standing Valve and an Equalizing Valve can be run with a slickline downhole and engage to the Landing Nipple.
The application for Standing Valve include testing the tubing string, setting packers, or other applications in which it is desirable to maintain fluid in the tubing string.
