The Tubing Seal Divider is used for connecting lower and upper tubing strings together in a wellbore, including a J-Slot Mandrel assembly connected with lower the tubing string and the Scoop Head Assembly connected to the upper tubing strings. It incorporate a mechanical operable locking J-Pins in the Scoop Head Assembly for locking the tubing strings together via the J-Slots while the strings are run into a well. The Shear Pins can also be used instead of J-Pin and J-Slots.
The Tubing Seal Divider is mechanically releasing (by Lug rotation or by shear pin) the upper Scoop Head from the lower mandrel assembly to permit relative telescopic movement in the well between the upper and lower tubing strings at the tubing seal divider.
Normally, the J-Slot Mandrel will have an internal Landing Nipple profile. This allows plugging the lower tubing by a slickline plug. The upper string with the Scoop Head can be retrieved. The Scoop Head also provides as a conical guide to re-engage the J-Slot Mandrel and re-connect upper string to the lower string.
Application
- Provides an apparatus for coupling upper and lower tubing strings together in a well bore
- Provides a casing pressure responsive
- Run and mechanically released and space out for longitudinal expansion or contraction of the coupled tubing strings.
