The Hydrostatic Bailer has the purpose of removing sand, mud, paraffin, shale and other debris from the tubing.
In operation, air at atmospheric pressure is trapped inside the cylinder by the seals on the piston and upper relief mechanism.
When in position, a few downward jars will shear a pin retaining the piston. Full well pressure plus hydrostatic head acting against the piston area forces the piston up into the bailer. A ball check prevents any debris loss.
Available with Ball or Flapper Shoe.
The Bailer can be manufactured to any length required.
