The Hydraulic Swabbing Stuffing Box is designed to perform sealing function on braided cable with hydraulic pressure.
In operation, the Hydraulic Swabbing Stuffing Box is assembled with the braided cable run through it with the rope socket attached below. This Allow the wireline tool string to be running below and be able to seal off or shut the well pressure below.
The Hydraulic Swabbing Stuffing Box is usually attached to the top of the lubricator and a hydraulic pressure is typically apply to the stuffing box pack-off rubber seal, sufficiently pack off the wireline thoroughly.
