The Hydraulic Tool Trap is designed to stop wireline tools from falling back down the well should the wireline accidentally break at the Rope Socket when pulling back into the lubricator.
The flappers installed within the tool are opened hydraulically via a hand pump to allow the tools to pass into the well bore.
The Hydraulic Tool Trap is manufactured with various sizes of Quick Unions, pressure rating up to 20,000psi Working Pressure and for Standard or H2S Service.
